The weekend is behind us, we had visitors from Pretoria so we had a weekend of sightseeing, eating out and the occasional glass of red wine from wine estates in and around Cape Town/Stellenbosch.
Thursday night was a Mexican dinner at Deez in Hout Bay, great food, too many margarita's. Friday we took our guests who are Harley-Davidson fanatics to the two dealerships in Cape Town. We also took them to the Viper Lounge in Table View for a drink and a chance to look at the Victory motorcycles. Saturday was breakfast at La Cuchina, lovely, really good food, I had a Welsh Rarebit that was better than any I can remember from my childhood. Thereafter, Minnie and I took a ride on the motorcycles, no new roads or places but great weather and a fantastic ride around the peninsula. Sunday was a wine tasting day in Stellenbosch at Delheim and Muratie, both always good, their wines are fantastic. We ended our day with a meal at "The Butcher's Grill" in Cape Town. A good weekend had by all!
Delheim is always wonderful, the ambiance in their tasting room is fantastic and their wines are great. Muratie has upgraded their tasting facility since our last visit, very tasteful. They have also added dining and a lovely traditional menu on a Sunday. Muratie's Cape Ruby (Port) is absolutely fantastic.
