Boulders Beach |
In previous posts I suggested that visitors to Cape Town spend some time at Clifton and Llandudno, two beautiful beaches. Another exceptionally beautiful beach well worth a visit is Boulders, this beach is on the Indian Ocean side of the peninsula, the water is warmer and is home to a large penguin population.

Great news, Cape Town is hosting The Good Food and Wine Show from the 23rd - 26th May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre. This year the show is presented by Fiera Milano, a world leading exhibition company. They are promising more innovation, more entertainment and more celebrity chefs than ever before. The programme includes leading industry speakers on Brands in Retail Spaces and Consumer Engagement Strategies, with my interest in marketing and consumer behavior I look forward to learning something new on both these topics.
The South African Bar Show is debuting at this year's event, they are promising from Shebeens (a tavern in local lingo) to a Bikini Bar, it sounds to good to even consider not attending. Craft Beer,Champagne and Sparkling Wine are also on offer. As a person who enjoys the food channels on the television I look forward to seeing the Celebrity Chefs Eric Lanlard and Gordon Ramsay.
Good food, good wine and good entertainment, I am looking forward to our visit to the show.
Motorcycling.
In my last post I posed the question to my fellow motorcyclists of how they respond when asked by non-motorcyclists Why do you ride a motorcycle? Many thanks to those of you who replied.
Rob says that he skirts the question to avoid the vacant stares he receives in return to his answer. Kenneth and Francis mentioned the sense of adventure and to free the mind. Colin spoke of freedom, smelling the wind and the air, being at one with his motorcycle and the surrounds and John said because he can.
I agree, to me it is more about the journey and less of the destination. When travelling by car we always wonder how much further to go or how much longer will it take to get to the destination. When travelling on my motorcycle I never ask these questions, I just enjoy every moment of the journey.
Lastly, a special thanks to Jasmin who responded by circling the blog and I got this from her profile, thank you Jasmin (and to GlobeBusters.com), it showcases motorcycling perfectly.
Until next time, Ciao
Clive
