It is Saturday .......!

Hi,

It is Saturday 11th May 2013, another beautiful day in Cape Town. May has turned out to be the best month this year. We have not had a lot of rain yet so it is sure to be wet, wet, wet in June, July and August. The South Easter has blown itself out and we are enjoying windless days which are perfect for motorcycling.

Minnie and I had a good ride this morning. Late start, out on the N2 onto the M5,  then the N1 to Welgemoed and Durbanville.  We then passed the wine farms (we have to start stopping off at these farms for breakfast Minnie) and onto the N7. To Cape Town Central on the N1 and out to the Southern Suburbs via De Waal Drive and the M3. Smoke-break at Kirstenbosch Gardens, back on the motorcycles to Pick and Pay Newlands to purchase panini's for lunch and then home to Rondebosch. The panini's were great!

Hout Bay Harbour (Old photo, just because I love Hout Bay)
I originally started writing this blog to share with my children, Natasha and Greg in Durban and Roxy in Aspen what Minnie and I get up to in our spare time. I am happy to say that this blog has attracted readers from far and wide, South Africa, the USA, Russia, Germany, the UK, France, Pakistan and Singapore, welcome to all of you, please feel free to leave a comment and tell me what you think of beautiful Cape Town.

Team Metisse (Germany) - BMW R1200R Cafe Racer
Team Metisse (Germany) - BMW R1200R CRT

Today I have included three motorcycle pictures, my BMW R1200R and two photographs from Team Metisse's website. I would love to buy one of their conversions kits, probably the CRT and convert my motorcycle. Rands to Euros wow, not pretty, when I visited Ireland in 2000 the conversion rate was Euro 1=Rand 7, right now it is getting closer to 1:13. What do you guys think, keep it the same or convert and if convert which one, Cafe Racer or CRT?

Nivea Promo Team - Greg on the left (Thanks Tash lifted the photo from your page)
It is tough to be a student and have to work, keep it up Greg, you will have your degree by year end and then the sky is the limit, "Be The BEST Sunshine."

Have a great day, hold thumbs for another perfect day tomorrow - it is Mother's Day, spoil your Mom and tell her that she is "SPECIAL." We will be celebrating Mother's Day with Mother and Ouma in Hout Bay.

Until next time,

Ciao.
